Data Stored Locally:

- Voice Recordings (Affirmations): You have the option to record personal voice affirmations within the App. These audio recordings are stored strictly and entirely locally on your device. We do NOT collect, transmit, upload, or share your voice recordings with our servers or any third parties.

- App Settings & Favorites: Your saved sound mixes, timer preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device.


Data Collected Automatically via Third-Party SDKs:

- The App uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect certain non-personally identifiable information, such as IP addresses, advertising IDs, device information, and app usage data for advertising and analytics purposes.


3. Permissions Used

The App requests the following permissions to function correctly:

- Microphone (`RECORD_AUDIO`): Required exclusively for the "My Affirmations" feature, allowing you to record your own voice. The recordings never leave your device.

- Foreground Service & Wake Lock (`FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK`, `WAKE_LOCK`): Required to allow the sleep sounds to play continuously in the background while you use other apps or when your screen is off.

- Notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`): Required to show a media playback control notification while sounds are playing in the background.

- Network Access (`INTERNET`): Required to serve advertisements via Google AdMob.


4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

- Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display ads. Depending on your region (e.g., EEA/UK), you will be presented with a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) to choose between personalized and non-personalized ads.

5. Data Retention

Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to retain. Local data (affirmations, settings, saved mixes) persists on your device until you manually delete it or uninstall the App. Data collected by AdMob is retained according to Google's policies.


6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Aggregate or non-personally identifiable data may be collected by Google AdMob as described above.


7. User Rights & Control

- Voice Recordings: You can delete any of your recorded affirmations directly within the App at any time.

- Ad Personalization: If you are in a region subject to privacy laws like GDPR/CCPA, you can revoke or change your ad consent choices at any time via the consent dialog within the App.

- Data Deletion: To completely erase all local data, you can clear the App's data in your Android device settings or uninstall the App.


8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


9. Account Deletion

Dozely Sleep Sounds does not use user accounts or logins. Therefore, an account deletion process is not applicable. 


10. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the integrity of the App. Your voice recordings are kept isolated within the App's private local storage, accessible only by the App itself.


11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
