* **Locally Stored Data:** Your translation history and bookmarked phrases are stored locally on your device's internal storage using Room Database. We do not have access to this data.


## 3. Permissions Used

To function correctly, the App requires the following Android permissions:

* `CAMERA`: Required for the Camera Translate (OCR) feature. The images captured are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded or saved to any external server.

* `RECORD_AUDIO`: Required for the Voice Translate and Conversation modes. Your voice is processed locally on-device by ML Kit to convert speech to text. No audio recordings are saved or transmitted off-device.

* `INTERNET` & `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`: Required to download offline language models from Google, and to serve advertisements via AdMob.


## 4. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

* **Google AdMob:** We use AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use advertising IDs and device data to serve personalized ads. You can view their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

* **Google ML Kit:** Used for on-device language translation, language identification, and text recognition. While it processes data on-device, it requires an initial internet connection to download language models.

* **Google User Messaging Platform (UMP):** Used to gather consent for personalized advertising, particularly for users in the EEA and UK to comply with GDPR.


## 5. Data Retention

* **Local Data:** Your translation history and bookmarks persist on your device until you manually clear the app data or uninstall the App.

* **Ad Data:** Data collected by AdMob is retained according to Google's data retention policies.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Data automatically collected by our SDKs (like AdMob) is shared only as necessary to provide advertising services, as governed by their respective privacy policies.


## 7. User Rights & Control

* **Ad Personalization:** Depending on your region, you will be prompted by the Google UMP dialogue to consent to or opt-out of personalized advertising. You can reset your advertising ID via your device's system settings at any time.

* **Data Deletion:** Because your translation data is stored locally, you can delete it instantly by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's storage cache in your Android settings.

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information without parental consent, we will take steps to remove it.


## 9. Account Deletion

This App does not require user accounts, registration, or logins. Therefore, there is no account deletion process. To remove all your data, simply uninstall the App.

We value your trust in providing us with your information. By designing the App to process sensitive data (voice and images) strictly on-device, we inherently minimize security risks. However, remember that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
