- Data Collected Automatically: Our App uses third-party advertising SDKs which may automatically collect certain device information, such as IP address, advertising IDs, and general network information, to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements.

- Data Stored Locally: Any QR code or barcode you scan or generate is stored locally on your device's internal storage (via Room Database). This data is NOT transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.

- Data NOT Collected: We do not collect or store your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, or any other personal identifiers on our servers. The App operates primarily offline.


3. Permissions Used

The App requires the following Android permissions to function properly:

- CAMERA: Required to scan QR codes and barcodes. The camera feed is processed locally on your device using Google ML Kit. No video or image data is recorded or transmitted over the internet.

- VIBRATE: Used to provide haptic feedback (a physical vibration) when a scan is successful. No data is collected.

- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required solely to load and display advertisements via the Google AdMob network and to fetch consent forms via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP).


4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party software development kits (SDKs):

- Google AdMob (com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads): Used to display banner and interstitial ads. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers and location data (at a network level) to serve ads. - Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Used to comply with GDPR and EEA regulations by asking for your consent before serving personalized advertisements.


5. Data Retention

- Local Data: Your scan history and generated QR codes persist on your device until you manually delete them within the App, clear the App's data via Android settings, or uninstall the App entirely.

- SDK Data: Data collected by third-party advertising partners is retained according to their respective privacy policies.


6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. Information collected automatically by third-party SDKs (such as AdMob) is shared directly with those platforms for the sole purpose of ad delivery and analytics.


7. User Rights & Control

- EEA/UK Users: Under the GDPR, you will be presented with a consent form upon first opening the app. You can choose to accept or decline personalized ads. You can revoke or change your consent at any time in the App's Settings menu.

- Local Data Control: You have full control to view, manage, and delete your scan history directly within the App's History screen.


8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.


9. Account Deletion

The App does not require user registration or accounts. Therefore, there is no account deletion process. To remove all associated data, simply clear your scan history inside the App or uninstall the App from your device.


10. Security

We value your trust. The App uses standard Android security mechanisms (such as encrypted SharedPreferences and internal application sandboxing) to protect your locally stored history. However, remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.


11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
